English as an Additional Language (EAL) Toy Test

We are able to supply boxed sets of English as an Additional Language (EAL) toys.  These will be supplied free of charge with any Parrot product purchased to perform this test, but are also available separately.  For a description of the test and box contents please go to the EAL word list page.

Manchester Picture Test booklets.

We can supply A4 colour booklets containing the test materials for the Manchester Picture Test. This is a spiral bound booklet consisting of 36 glossy card pages, each with a 2×2 picture test grid printed on it. Also included is a score sheet which can be copied for record keeping.

We can also supply a small version of this booklet. This is also produced on thick, glossy card and is slightly smaller than A5. This book is supplied free of charge with all Parrot and Parrotplus products, programmed to perform this test. It is also available separately if you would prefer this version to the larger A4 version.

Ling 6 Test Cards

These are postcard sized laminated cards with cartoon pictures showing OO, EE, AH, SH, MM, SS.

BKB CD

The BKB (Bamford-Kowal-Bench) sentence test consists of 21 lists of 16 sentences. Each list has 50 key words to be scored.  This CD consists of the recordings developed by the Institute of Hearing Research, Medical Research Council (IHR/MRC) and University College London (UCL). The recordings are of both male and female speakers in PCM format sampled at 22050 Hz. Also on the CD are 4 sample noises. Pink noise, white noise, speech noise and babble. This CD has been released for research purposes only and we are unable to offer any technical support regarding it’s use.

Smiley Face Stickers

Originally, we produced these as promotional material, but they have proven extremely popular so they are now available for sale.  Each circular sticker is 50mm in diameter and features a large smiley face with the text  ‘I’ve had my hearing test today’ at the top. They no longer have our contact details on, but the text ‘soundbyte solutions’ is present in a very small font at the bottom, as a reminder of where to buy replacements.

The stickers come on a roll of 500, and rolls are available in the following colours:

• pink
• blue
• yellow
• silver
• gold
